Ashtanga yoga is a traditional system, intelligently designed to heal and cleanse the body. When tailored to soften and energize the body, its benefits include hormonal balance, increase in fertility, calm mind, and deep breaths. It is a wonderful daily practice to establish before pregnancy to strengthen the pelvic floor, develop deeper connection between the body and mind.
This class will be using the primary series from the Ashtanga method, emphasizing and softening the postures to the women's body and her needs including the menstrual cycle, emotional balance and postpartum recovery.
